Rivervale home invasion: Cops issue plea for help after woman assaulted

Police have issued a plea for help after a woman was robbed and left with serious injuries following a home invasion on Friday night.

The incident happened at about 9.15pm when an unknown man broke into the home on Fitzroy Rd, Rivervale in Perth’s inner-east

The woman, aged in her 40s, was assaulted before the man fled the home taking a mobile phone and car keys.

Paramedics from St John Ambulance were also called to the Fitzroy Rd home, with the woman taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

She was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police later recovered the stolen phone at an address on Armadale Rd, Rivervale at about 1.05am.

The two homes sit on parallel streets.

Investigators have released a CCTV photo of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or 1800 333 000.
